Outer Banks Day 3 & 4

We are still having so much fun! We spent Day 3 on the beach. Again. I have read a couple of books and my sweet hubby is plotting bookstore locations in case I make it through the others!

We also went to Roanoke Island Friday night to see "The Lost Colony" -- an outdoor theater production about the very first colonists in the new world...and their mysterious ending. It was really good! And the surrounding park was beautiful. These gardens were closed for an event -- sadly -- but I peeked!

I imagine the INSIDE of the gardens -- through this entry -- were breathtaking as well -- that will have to be on our next "to do list"!

From our porch -- we could see the Atlantic Ocean to the left and the Currituck Sound to our right! So cool!

Saturday was spent driving to Charleston for the second leg of our journey. The drive was a bit taxing as apparently every single person on the East Coast was ALSO heading down this particular interstate! (We  almost exited HERE and changed our plans! ha)

The drive was worth it however when we arrived at the lovely Charleston Place hotel -- freshened up and went for an official anniversary dinner at the Charleston Grill! Honestly, I am not sure I have ever eaten food more delightfully prepared! I may be spoiled to ever eat again!!

We are heading out to explore Charleston this morning -- I can hardly wait to discover the blessings of this lovely place!
