Two little girls at Mississippi State met, and believed they could change the world with their news writing...they wrote for The Reflector (Mississippi State's student newspaper); they even ran the paper for their season; they traveled together to conferences all over the country to learn more about changing the world with their writing; and they did something much more important than all of that...they became the dearest of friends.

Years have passed and my sweet friend has impacted and continues to impact the world through her career, through her marriage to an awesome man and through the precious little guy who calls her Mom!
And even though we can count the number of times we have been together in 20 plus years on ONE hand, our friendship continues. And this week, when work brought her to my little corner of the world, my heart was blessed by a visit -- by hours of non-stop conversation and by hugs that have only grown sweeter with the passing years!

Changing the world is important...but can I just say that friendships that endure through the years are one of my favorite blessings of all!!
