Happy Birthday, Uncky!!

Once upon a time, a little bitty boy was born....upsetting one 11-year-old girl immensely since she thought she and God had an agreement and that THIS time, her Mom would give her a sister.

The "upset" turned quickly to fear when the little bitty boy was very sick and had to be med-flighted to a bigger hospital. Oh, I felt remorse and oh, how I desperately wanted that little brother to come home safe and sound!!

And oh, we all loved him so. But I have to tell you that I had no idea how perfect God's plan was in giving me this wonderful blue-eyed-brother...

Len lives with us. He has for a few years while he is in school. He helps with my kiddos. He runs to the grocery store. He lifts my precious boy giving my back a rest.

But it is so much more. He loves my kids. He entertains my kids. He encourages them. He models Godly-behavior for them. He uh....dresses up like the wicked stepmother and dances in Cinderella for them!

There are not enough words to say thank you. Not enough ways to show our gratitude. But today....today, I have to say how thankful I am that GOD's plan was perfect on that November day in 1979 when my family received another little brother!!

Happy Birthday to my baby brother....known around here as Cate's Uncky and her favorite playmate!! Known around here as Uncle-Extraordinaire, and brother and brother-in-law of the decade!
