We're home! Disney World 2008 was as delightful as ever -- full of wonderful family time, many many memories and only a handful of adolescent angst (though my three 10-year-olds might say only a handful of parental angst!) episodes! My big kids never tire of seeing the characters, riding the rides and always always discovering something we haven't seen before! (This year is was the "Living with the Land" ride, and they are pretty sure that counted as a couple of science classes at least!) And the baby....oh, she just loved everything about it! And we all had a blast watching this two-year-old act like she was a world-traveler -- as she walked to security in the airport and promptly sat down and took off her shoes. She tossed them on the conveyor belt and pranced (and I mean pranced) through the metal detector! Good grief!
Coming home is usually so sad. But not this trip...we returned Sunday night and our long-awaited Golden Doodle puppy came home to us Monday! Pluto (yes, the kids named him...and yes, it fits!) has been a joy so far! Mason and Claire did the research on this one -- working for months to first find a breed that would work for our family and then to coerce the parents to buy them one! (Benjamin was even chiming in by the end!) Needless to say, we are all in love with this pooch after just a few days!! (I'll keep you posted as I'm a bit sleep-deprived right now and may just be delirious!ha)
So many blessings, my friends. Family time always trumping all else!!
